אודרי הפבורן היא ללא ספק אייקון האופנה המשפיע ביותר בחיי. אני מניחה שהמשפט הזה תקף לגבי חלק לא מבוטל מהנשים בעולם, ולכן נראה לי שיום הולדתה ה-80 שחל בשבוע הבא הוא הזדמנות טובה להיזכר בקסם שלה. הפבורן הלכה לעולמה כבר לפני 16 שנה, אבל גם היום היא עדיין רלוונטית לחובבי האופנה לא פחות משהייתה בשנות ה-50 וה-60. בדיוק בשל על-זמניותה, הקלאסיות והטעם הטוב שכל כך אפיינו אותה, סביר להניח שגם בעוד שנים רבות היא תמשיך להעניק השראה לעולם האופנה.

Audrey Hepburn is by far the most influential fashion icon of my life. I guess this counts for many ladies in the world, and that's why I think her 80th birthday, celebrated next week, is a good opportunity to remember her magic. Hepburn passed away 16 years ago, but she is as relevant to the fashion world today, as she was in the 50's and the 60's. Because of her timelessness, class and good taste, she is likely to inspire the fashion world for years on.

השמלה השחורה מארוחת בוקר בטיפאני של ז'יבנשי היא אולי המפורסמת ביותר מבין ההברקות האופנתיות של אודרי, ובין המשפיעות במאה ה-20. אותו סרט הפך גם את דגם משקפי השמש וייפרר של ריי באן לכל כך פופולאריים. אבל התלבושת שאני הכי אוהבת מהמלתחה העשירה של אודרי היא הסילואט הדקיקה בשחור מפנים מצחיקות. פשוט וקלאסי.

The black dress from Breakfast at Tiffany's by Givenchy is probably the most famous of Audrey's fashionable statements, and one of the most influential in the 20th century. That same film made Ray-Ban's Wayfarer sunglasses so popular. But my most favorite outfit from Audrey's wardrobe is the black thin silhouette from Funny face. Simple and Classic.

עדכון: פרויקט תמונות מיוחד על אודרי הפבורן ב"דר שפיגל" בעקבות ספר חדש "אודרי הפבורן – צילומים של אגדה" לכבוד יום הולדתה ה-80. זה אמנם בגרמנית, אבל התמונות מדברות בעד עצמן.

לכבוד יום העצמאות עליתי לירושלים לטקס הדלקת המשואות, שהיה השנה מוצלח במיוחד. כנראה שיש משהו דווקא בזה שלא מדובר במספר עגול ואולי גם בגלל שהנושא היה 100 שנה לתל אביב, שהפך את הטקס המיושן בדרך כלל, לנחמד יותר מתמיד.

לכבוד האירוע גם אני לבשתי חג בתלבושת פטריוטית במיוחד. אבל חמש דקות אחרי שהתיישבתי בהר הרצל כבר נאלצתי לעטות גם סוודר, מעיל וצעיף. קר שם בירושלים. הקטע שהכי אהבתי במהלך הערב היה הריקוד לצלילי גן השקמים, וגם ההערה שאמר לנו אחד הנספחים הצבאיים הזרים שישב לידינו: "זה הערב הכי טוב בשנה כאן בישראל, סוף סוף יום אחד אתם מחייכים ושוכחים לרגע מחמאס וכל הצרות שלכם'". אין מה לומר, צודק הבחור.

In honor of the occasion I was dressed in an extremely patriotic holiday outfit. But 5 minutes after sitting down in Mt. Herzl, I had to put on a sweater, jacket and scarf. It's cold out there in Jerusalem. My favorite piece during the evening was the dance to the music of "Gan Hashikmim", and what one of the foreign military attaches we sat next to told us: "This is the best evening of the year in Israel, finally you get to smile and forget for a moment about Hamas and all your other troubles". Say no more, the man is right.

תספורת חדשה, אפרוריות לונדונית ו… קאפקייקס. המגפונים של קנת קול הם אחד הזוגות שאני הכי אוהבת בתקופה האחרונה וזו דוגמה ליתרון שבמגורים ליד קניון. מצד אחד, חשבון הבנק שלי סובל מזה שקפיצה לסופר נגמרת ברכישת שמלה חדשה. מצד שני, אני משתדלת לקנות כמעט תמיד רק כשיש מבצע ולא במחיר הרגיל. ככה למשל המגפונים האלה עלו בערך 50 אחוז ממחירם המקורי. את החולצה אני עיצבתי ונתתי במתנה לכמה חברים טובים.

A new haircut, grey London weather and… Cupcakes. These boots by Kenneth Cole are one of my favorites lately, and that's one of the advantages of living next to a mall. On the one hand, my bank account suffers every time I go to the supermarket and come back with a new dress. On the other hand, I try to buy most of the time during sales, and not at full cost. These boots, for example, cost me about 50% of their original price. The shirt was designed by me, and given as a present to some close friends.

אחרי כרם התימנים וחוף הים, ההומאז' לתל אביב מסתיים באחד האזורים היפים בעיר – נווה צדק. בחיפושים אחרי מגמות אופנה מתחילת המאה ה-20 לא מצאתי סגנון מובהק שאפיין את 1909. הסגנון הכי ברור ומוצלח היה של שנות ה-20 העליזות. זהו אחד הסגנונות האהובים עלי, כי הוא משלב קלאסיקה עם רוח צעירה. את הכובע קניתי בחנות בתחילת שינקין מול שוק הכרמל ואת הפרח הוספתי לו מבגד ישן של דליתי.

After the Yemenite Vineyard and the beach, my homage to Tel Aviv ends in one of the most beautiful parts of the city – Neve Tzedek. I looked for early 20th century fashion trends, but couldn't find anything typical of 1909. The most distinct and successful style was that of the roaring 20's. It's one of my favorite periods in fashion, because I think it combines class and teen spirit. The hat is from a store on Sheinkin st. (in front of Shuk Ha'Carmel), and attached the flower from an old outfit by Daliti.

כשהסתובבתי עם נעה (הצלמת הקבועה שלי) ברחובות הציוריים של נווה צדק נתקלנו פתאום בסרגיי, צלם חובב שביקש לצלם את תלבושת הרטרו שלי. שתיים מהתמונות כאן הן שלו. תודה לסרגיי, וכמו תמיד גם לנעה כמובן.

While walking around the picturesque streets of Neve Tzedek with Noa (my loyal photographer) we suddenly ran into Sergey, a photographer that wanted to take pictures of my retro outfit. Two of the pictures here were taken by him. Thank you Sergey, and Noa too, of course.
